The goal of the present study will be to examine total mercury levels in billfish caught commercially and recreationally in Pacific waters around Hawaii.  An attempt to relate length and weight to total mercury level will be made.  In addition stable isotopes and fatty acids will be used to evaluate relationships of trophic level and dietary history to observed total mercury level.
